A quaint West Mifflin eatery, Jim's Famous Sauce has been a favorite for nearly a century. It got its start, after all, in 1927.
While life has changed all around it in the last nearly 100 years, Jim's has largely remained the same - grilling its famous special dogs and smothering its sandwiches in that famous sauce.
Let's talk those special dogs. You can, of course, get a classic hot dog at Jim's, but you'll probably want to try the special dog instead.
It comes topped with American cheese, diced onions, and Jim's Famous Sauce, but that's not what makes it so special. After all the ingredients are put together, the dog is broiled until the cheese is a bubbly brown.
Don't worry if you can't make it to Western PA for a special dog. You can still make one yourself. Just order Jim's Famous Sauce from Jim's Online Store.
Jim's Famous Sauce also helps make one delicious ham barbecue - with or without cheese - sandwich, too.
Check out the rest of the menu, where you'll find burgers, kolbassi, Italian sausage, and grilled chicken sandwiches.
Complement your dog or your sandwich with a side or two - golden fries, cheese fries, and baked beans are among your choices.
Have you tried Jim's fries dipped in gravy and paired with a coke (with cherry syrup, like the old days)?
Desserts on the menu, too. Choose from a single or double cone in a variety of flavors, a milkshake, or an ice cream float or cooler.
View days, hours, and a menu on the Jim's Famous Sauce website. Or, stop by its Facebook page.
