I Can’t Stop Going To This Immensely Popular Portland, Oregon Bakery
If you're looking for delicious baked goods in Portland that offer more than the typical fare, head to Dos Hermanos, which is quickly becoming one of the most popular bakeries in town.
Dos Hermanos started selling its wares at local farmers' markets and from a walk-up window at its production facility. Now, you can find their breads and pastries at grocery stores all over town. Even better, you can stop in at the new Southeast Stark bakery cafe.
The bakery offers an immense array of baked goods from muffins, bread, and big pretzels to chocolate croissants, danishes, conchas, and cookies as well as chopped sandwiches. Everything is delicious ... and I can't stop going back for more!
I can't drive by Dos Hermanos without stopping.
Our family first fell in love with Dos Hermanos because of the bakery's amazing soft pretzels, which come in classic Bavarian, jalapeño cheddar, and pretzel bites.
Started by brothers Gabriel and Josue Azcorra — dos hermanos means two brothers in Spanish — the business actually involves many members of the Azvorra family, including their parents, a third brother, and about 15 members of their extended family, which hails from the Yucatán in Mexico.
Dos Hermanos makes a variety of bread, including sourdough, brioche, pullman, rye, como, multigrain, miche, batard, boule, and ciabatta loaves and rolls, sourdough muffins, and baguettes.
There's seating if you want to enjoy your purchases in-house or take them to go.
I love the cheerful, bright, and colorful decor.
It's very hard to choose what to get!
We regularly order sourdough muffins, pretzels, pull-apart bread, sesame seed hoagie rolls, and pretzels.
You'll find lots of yummy options in the pastry case.
