And in case you haven't noticed, not all ice cream is the same. If you're in search of homemade ice cream, head to Collinsville and you'll find Scoops & Grinds - a sugary-sweet ice cream parlor located in a quaint setting in historic downtown.

Scoops & Grinds is located on the southeast corner of 11th and Main Street in Historic Collinsville at 1023 West Main Street.

It's the cutest little shop filled with all kinds of sweets. Find a seat indoors or outside on the lovely patio.

All the ice cream and sorbet is made with fresh cream right there at the shop.

And boy oh boy is it delicious! It's so creamy and flavorful...you sure can taste the difference in homemade.

They also make all sorts of fancy creations like shakes and brownies.

Along with cakes, pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, muffins, and cheesecake.

We told you this parlor was filled with all sorts of sugary-sweet goodies. After seeing all this deliciousness, which treat would you choose? I don't know about you but that brownie creation below is calling my name.

Load up the kids and take them to Collinsville for a fun (and yummy!) outing. They are open Tuesday - Thursday from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Friday 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Closed on Sunday and Monday.
