This Oak Fired Barbecue Pit In Oklahoma Will Make Your Taste Buds Go Crazy
We all know Oklahoma is home to many incredible barbecue restaurants, and you probably have your favorites, but there's one you have to check out (if you haven't yet). Maple's Barbecue is an oak-fired pit barbecue stand in Oklahoma City that serves mouthwatering BBQ in the heart of historic Midtown. Let's take a look!
Maple's Barbecue opened in April 2017 in the Historic Midtown District in Oklahoma City at 320 Northwest 11th Street. Its modeled after BBQ from Austin, Texas, and people are raving about it.
Look for the food truck and picnic tables with the large overhead tent. They are open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. 'til sold out.
You can expect a line, but on the weekends you can order ahead by placing a pre-order 48 hours in advance.
The barbecue is all-natural USDA Prime beef brisket, so you know the quality is one of the best you can get.
And once you take one bite, you'll see just how amazing this meat is. No one in the state can compete with this brisket!
The menu has all the normal meat selections you would expect, plus some sandwiches and side offerings.
The smoker burns local post oak and cooks all the meat to perfection.
Look at this incredible Pitmaster Sandwich! It's filled with pulled pork, brisket, sausage, pickled onions, smoked jalapenos, and slaw.
Before or after eating, play a game of corn hole. It's nestled under the trees and is a fun activity to enjoy during your visit to Maples.
The September special looks delicious. These smoked beef cheek tacos with salsa verde, chipotle crema, and pickled red onions might need to become a permanent item on the menu after hearing the rave reviews.
Side dishes include mac and cheese, burnt end beans, and chipotle slaw. You can order them by the serving, pint, or quart.
They even serve a few desserts that won't disappoint your sweet tooth — just look at this pound cake with strawberry compote. I'll take two slices, please!
Have you eaten at Maple's Barbecue yet? If so, what did you think?
