Believe it or not, shipping containers aren't just used for shipping any more. Many cities across the country are using them for shopping malls, retail centers, and dining establishments. OK Sea in Oklahoma City is a shipping container retail space that houses many businesses, one of which is a one-of-a-kind restaurant. Check it out:

Anchor Down is a restaurant and bar located on the first floor of OK Sea at 30 Northeast 2nd Street in Oklahoma City. Just look for the Big #2 and you'll find the door to the left.

The development was truly made from real shipping containers, as you'll see in the construction photos below. In fact, 17 shipping containers were used in total to build the place up.

Step inside Anchor Down and you'll hardly know you're inside multiple shipping containers. The full-service restaurant and bar specialize in draft beer and corn dogs.

But these aren't just any corn dogs...they are gourmet corn dogs, all served with house chips.

They also serve burgers, sandwiches, salads, and several appetizers.

...including these amazing hush puppies with cheese curd and jalapeño pup with queso.

But don't leave without trying the fritters topped with fresh strawberries and powdered sugar.

Outside the restaurant is a patio where you can enjoy the view of the cool, red shipping containers. You'll love the upbeat vibe around all of OK Sea. Visit them Sunday - Thursday from 4 p.m. - 12 a.m. or Friday - Saturday from 11 a.m. - 2 a.m.
