For wine connoisseurs, this fact in and of itself qualifies as one of Ohio's best kept secrets. The following are just a few of what we consider to be the best wineries in Ohio—and there are PLENTY more beyond this list.
1) Ferrante Winery & Ristorante (Geneva)
One of of Ohio's favorite wineries in Geneva is famous for pairing its award-winning wines with delicious Italian cuisine. Ferrante Winery & Ristorante is located at 5585 St. Rt. 307, Harpersfield Twp., OH 44041.

2) Valley Vineyards (Morrow)
The Schuchter family has been producing national award-winning wines from vineyards in the Ohio River Valley Appellation since 1970. The vineyard also offers a variety of craft beers. Valley Vineyards is located at 2276 East US 22 & 3, Morrow, Ohio 45152.
3) Firelands Winery (Sandusky)
This beautiful winery has produced high quality, local wines since 1880. The vineyards are located on North Bass Island in the western basin of Lake Erie. Firelands Winery is located at 917 Bardshar Rd.

4) Debonne Vineyards (Madison)
Ohio's largest estate winery stretches across more than 175 acres of vines and features live entertainment on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Debonne Vineyards is located at 7840 Doty Road, Madison, OH 44057.
5) Gervasi Vineyard & Italian Bistro (Canton)
In addition to beautiful Tuscany-style villas available for overnight stays and high quality, locally produced wines, this vineyard features an unbelievably delicious Italian restaurant open for lunch and dinner. Ohio's favorite Italian getaway is located at 1700 55th St NE, Canton, Ohio 44721.
6) Heineman's Winery (Put In Bay)
The oldest family-owned and operated winery in Ohio shares its island home with the world's largest known Celestite Geode, Crystal Cave. The winery is located at 978 Catawba Ave. , Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island.
7) Vinoklet Winery (Cincinnati)

8) Camelot Cellars (Columbus)
This award-winning urban boutique in the Short North is "Where Wine Is Art." Camelot Cellars is located at 958 N High St, Columbus, Ohio 43201.
9) Breitenbach Winery (Dover)
This picturesque winery is another one of Ohio's biggest wineries, and features more than 40 different varieties of locally produced wine. The winery also features a cafe that's open for lunch Mon.-Sat. Breitenbach Winery is located at 5934 Old St Rt 39, Dover, Ohio 44622.
10) Chateau Tebeau Winery (Helena)
This family-owned winery and vineyard is open on Thurs.-Sat. and is located at 525 State Route 635, Helena, Ohio 43435.
11) Terra Cotta Vineyards (New Concord)
Established in 1995 and officially in business since 1999, this beautiful winery was built from scratch after the owners toured Ohio's wineries and vineyards. Terra Cotta Vineyards is located at 2285 Rix Mills Rd, New Concord, Ohio 43762.
