Wineries make excellent day trip destinations. Fortunately, Ohio is home to more than 150 wineries, each featuring their own one-of-a-kind wines and beautiful settings. (Be sure to check out this barn winery.) One of the most unique wineries in Ohio is Dover's School House Winery. With award-winning wines, a charming atmosphere and plenty of fun events, this is one local winery you simply can't pass up.
What used to be an 1886 one-room schoolhouse is now one of Ohio's most unique wineries.
You'll find it at 455 Schneiders Crossing Rd. NW, Dover, OH 44622.
Oak Grove School #6 held class until 1941. Today, its history and charm is what makes it "Ohio's Most Unique Winery."
You can visit School House Winery on Tuesday - Thursday from noon - 9 p.m. and on Friday - Saturday from noon - 10 p.m.

In the warmer months, we highly recommend taking advantage of the outdoor seating after you've explored the interior. There's nothing like a picnic by the pond.
