Mitchell's Homemade Ice Cream has been a family favorite in Cleveland since 1999, but their popularity exploded when they opened a factory shop in Ohio City.

It's owned by two brothers, Pete and Mike, who have a passion for ice cream, Cleveland, and making everyone in the world as happy as they can be.

Mitchell's has a commitment to environmentally-friendly, sustainable business. All ingredients are local and fresh, so you know you're getting the highest quality ice cream, from the cream to the berries and maple syrup.

And with ice creams like theirs, it's a happy world indeed. Their factory shop is particularly special. Not only does it produce the ice cream that you love, but it's also set out so that you can watch the whole process!

Step inside this repurposed theater, look past the ice cream, past the servers, and through the window...

There's a viewing platform in the second floor dining area for a better view of the factory floor. Try to guess what batches they're making today!

It's always nice to see where your food comes from, but it's also just a whole lot of fun to watch the huge machines churning delicious local cream, just for your enjoyment.

Pete and Mike wanted to create a Willy Wonka-like experience for their customers - to let us inside their world of delicious flavors and creativity.
