Whether you're a fan of German food, Thai food, Italian food, or everything in between, these six restaurants in North Dakota are the best of the best when it comes to serving up ethnic food that will make your mouth water. These aren't just Americanized versions of ethnic food; these are authentic cuisines you'll love.

1. Mexican: Arnaldo's - Bismarck

This restaurant blows all of the chain Mexican food places out of the water. If you want true Mexican food way north of the border, this is where you can get it. And now that it's warm enough to eat outdoors, they have plenty of outdoor patio seating to enjoy the sun and some delicious, spicy food!

Arnaldo's is located at 1032 Airport Road in Bismarck.

2. Greek: Cafe Aladdin - Fargo

The most popular Greek restaurant in the state is definitely Cafe Aladdin. From their Gyro to their falafels, your taste buds will go crazy over all of their amazing food. You won't find better Middle Eastern food this far from the Middle East!

3. Italian: Giuseppe's Italian Ristorante - Grand Forks

Talk about YUM! Proper and good Italian food is hard to come by - we're not talking Olive Garden, here - but Giuseppe's hits just the right spot. You'll want to stop by here again and again until you've tried their whole menu; everything is just so good.

Stop by Giuseppe's at 414 Demers Ave in Grand Forks.

4. Thai: Baan Rao - Minot

If you aren't a fan of spicy food, Baan Rao might not be for you. But if you like utterly delicious, authentic Thai food, spices and all, then Baan Rao is one of the best, hands down. There's tons to choose from on their menu and none of the options will disappoint when it comes to flavor and authenticity.

You can visit Baan Rao at 401 40th Ave SW in Minot.

5. Hawaiian: Hula-Grill - Williston

Now doesn't that look amazing? Hawaiian grills aren't too common in North Dakota, but this gem will get you hooked. The whole restaurant fits the theme with a great atmosphere to enjoy foods such as this coconut shrimp or other treats hot off the grill. Be careful here - the food is so good you might eat a little more than you're capable of. Remember, you can always go back again, and again, and again...and you'll certainly want to.

The Hula-Grill is located at 413 Main St in Williston.

6. Japanese: Wasabi Sushi & Asian Grill - Fargo

That sushi looks too pretty to eat! Beautifully displayed but well worth taking apart; it tastes unbelievable. They have a wide variety of food and their fish is always fresh and authentic because there is no cutting corners for quality at Wasabi.
