There are big names of restaurants everyone knows and hidden gems that deserve more recognition all across the prairie.

1. The Lunchbox Eatery - Fort Ransom

This adorable little restaurant is located in the heart of a river valley and right next to one of the prettiest state parks in North Dakota. They serve a whole lot more than just lunch, including dinner and breakfast options that are amazingly tasty.

This is one of the most remote restaurants in North Dakota. Located in a half-dead town in the furthest southwest corner of the state, it may be a bit of a drive, but it's totally worth it. The Pastime Club & Steakhouse is like entering a five star restaurant in the middle of a city. Steaks, pasta, burgers, even escargot! And it's in the middle of nowhere, ND.

3. Fireflour Pizza - Bismarck

Skip the chain pizza places and discover how amazing a Neapolitan pizza shop is at Fireflour. This lovely eatery bakes all of their pizzas in a huge wood fire oven and has countless flavors and toppings options. They even have gelato to end off your meal with a tasty dessert.

Mango's may not look like much from the outside, but it's what's inside that makes it the favorite Mexican food place in the area. Their mouthwatering meals are every Mexican food lover's dream, and for those who have party members that don't want tacos or enchiladas, Mango's has plenty of American - and mixed - options available.

If you're looking for dinner with a view, Elevation is the prime destination. Located on the edge of a golf course and overlooking the rolling hills and greens, this restaurant has plenty of drool-worthy options to go with the panoramic scenery.

This totally unique restaurant is located underneath a historic building in downtown Fargo, ND. It follows the industrial theme that comes with the location perfectly inside and out. Head out to the edge of the Little Missouri National Grassland and stop by this quirky and fun restaurant. If you love hunting, that's what this restaurant is all about - and making delicious food, of course!
