Way out on the edge of the badlands is this place that is so much more than a truck stop and motel. You see, here you will find a restaurant like no other in North Dakota.

It is called the Trapper's Kettle and once you step inside, you'll see why. The entire restaurant is themed after one of many North Dakotan's favorite hobbies: hunting!

Their unique decor includes tons of antique traps, interesting taxidermy, and plenty of other hunting gear and trinkets. But the interesting atmosphere isn't the only thing Trapper's Kettle has going for it.

The food is what really keeps people coming back. Their menu goes from breakfast to dinner with classics like pancakes or burgers and everything in between.

All of their food is the kind of delicious, homestyle cooking that will take you back to grandma's kitchen.

Plenty of North Dakota favorites are included on their menu, like hot beef or turkey sandwiches smothered in mouthwatering gravy. Don't forget a caramel roll for breakfast or dessert!

Not to mention the wide variety of other things like steaks or seafood that are also available in this neat restaurant.

Trapper's Kettle is certainly one of a kind in many ways, and if you're driving through the area, you will want to be sure you stop in for a bite. If you do, you'll probably want to stop there again on the way back!

The Trapper's Kettle restaurant is located at 803 Highway 85 N, Belfield, ND 58622.
