The BBQ At This New York Restaurant Is So Good That It Sells Out Every Day

If you like your meats smoked slow and low and delivered to you without a heap of pretension, then it is worth making the drive to Swan Lake, New York and checking out Big Kev's BBQ. It's really amazing BBQ, but you don't have to take our word for it: it has been the subject of glowing articles and it has a 4.5 star rating on Yelp, with users raving about the food truck's meat. But to really understand what the fuss is all about, you have to try it for yourself. Just don't wait too long. The food truck is open from 11 a.m. until they sell out for the day. It's the best BBQ in the Catskills.

Big Kev’s BBQ is located out of a food truck on Royce Road and Route 17B in Swan Lake, New York. The business started in 2010, on the other side of the street from their present-day location.

Early on, business was slow. But a few years after opening, they took second place for Best Ribs at The Hudson Valley Rib Fest. From there, things started cooking!

Now Big Kev’s BBQ sells out of a good portion of their brisket, chicken and ribs on a daily basis. They also now have a second truck that is used for breakfast.

Big Kev’s BBQ focuses on dry rub BBQ, cooked very slow over a wood fire. Their brisket gets smoked for 10-14 hours, and their chicken and ribs get three hours.

If you want to eat your food right after you get it, there is ample picnic-style seating on the lot.

Big Kev's is open now, and closes for the season on Thanksgiving weekend.
