205 Dry is a hidden speakeasy that opened in 2018. It’s the baby of Binghamton’s Alise Willerton, who is also the owner of Uncorked Creations, an art studio that exists upstairs from the bar. The space has a classic speakeasy feel, meaning the bar must be discovered before it can be enjoyed.

Once visitors find that special bookcase, though, they will be transported into a space that conjures up feelings of the 1920s. The room is filled with antiques, fresh flowers, books, and candles—and that’s not to mention its beautiful bar. The music that gets played often includes versions of contemporary music played in that classic 1920s style. The whole vibe is a mixture of old and new.

The food focuses on bar classics, with a classy twist. We love the OG Chicken Sandwich—a fried chicken sandwich presented with slaw and pickles. There is a delightful vegan garden and grain bowl.
