This is Golden Crown Panadería, a family-owned bakery that has been operating since 1972.

Looks like a wonderfully homey location, doesn’t it? And, for those of you not familiar with the word, panadería is Spanish for bakery.

This bakery cooks up batches of delicious goods that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and inner child.

What will you find on the menu? Plenty of toothsome treats that range from traditional Mexican favorites like conchas…

...to delectable empanadas in various fruit flavors…

...and multiple varieties of our state cookie, the biscochito.

In addition to the traditional recipe, you’ll also be able to taste biscochitos made with blue corn, cappuccino-flavored, and sugar-free varieties.

And, if you aren’t in the mood for a sweet confection, you won’t feel left out! The panadería also offers savory options like some spectacular green chile bread.

As a note, you should know they sell out of this bread fast. So fast that you should pre-order your bread at least a day in advance to make sure you can get a loaf! Other breads sold here include bolillos, baguettes, and whole wheat.
