Where to Find Mi Casita in Silver City
Silver City is home to a historic, walkable downtown with pastel-hued storefronts and many charming galleries. But to get to one of the town's greatest attractions, you'll have to wander a bit off the beaten path.
Mi Casita Restaurant is a casual, no-frills restaurant that is tucked away down a short and bumpy dirt road. Getting there is a bit of an adventure, so it's a good idea to have your GPS handy. From Silver Heights Boulevard (US 180), you'll take Bosworth Drive, which is a rather bumpy dirt road. Parking can also be a bit tricky, but by all accounts, it's worth the extra effort to get here. The food is that good. This is the kind of restaurant that doesn't even have an official website, because the cuisine speaks for itself. The typical lunch rush often means a line out the door, but don't worry, the service is speedy. And if locals—not just tourists—flood a place, you know it's good!
Why Diners Travel From Across New Mexico To Eat Here

Mi Casita Restaurant is the kind of place that, once you've tried it, there's no going back. Everything on the menu is worth sampling, but what people absolutely rave about is the Mi Casita Chile Relleno. And who doesn't love a good chile relleno? It's certainly one of my favorite dishes! And if you don't know what a chile relleno is, it's a stuffed green chile pepper that is battered and fried. Reviewers describe this dish as "perfect," "to die for," and "out of this world."
Other Menu Highlights
But that's just the start of the culinary gems to uncover. The sopapillas, fried dough pastries, are nothing short of spectacular. Not only are they delicious, all drizzled with honey, but they are also pretty big. In fact, almost anything you order here will come in a surprisingly large portion. Some other fan favorites include the beef or chicken chimichangas or the roast beef quesadillas.
Mi Casita Silver City offers more information on its Facebook page. The restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 11 am until 3 pm. They can be reached by calling (575) 538-5533.
