This Old-School Italian Eatery Is Serving Some Of The Freshest Pasta In New Jersey
If there's one thing we love here in New Jersey, it's Italian food! You can usually find a pizzeria, pasta shop, or trattoria on every main street in the Garden State - and after a while, they can all feel a little familiar. They deliver good, comforting food, but it's not quite what we're looking for. There's something about fresh pasta that just tastes better, and it's not easy to find outside of the big cities. But there's a small old-school restaurant in the town of Saddle Brook that might just be the best spot for fresh pasta in New Jersey. Que Pasta has been operating since 1985, and they still do things the old-school way - making the pasta fresh in-house. It's the perfect accompaniment to a hearty menu of Italian-American classics. We're not surprised this place has become the most popular restaurant in Saddle Brook, and we think you'll agree after one bite!
Inside, you'll find a beautiful atmosphere that is frequently booked for parties or banquets - and after one bite of the food, you'll see why.
The appetizer section is top-notch. We're partial to the crispy-fried calamari, which has a perfectly spiced coating and a briny interior.
But we all know what the headliner is here - the fresh pasta, still made in-house like it was when the restaurant opened decades ago.
Many classic pasta preparations are available, so you can taste these famous dishes at their best.
But don't be afraid to go bold and try one of the specials, spotlighting options like spinach pasta.
Of course, we think the pasta here goes even better when paired with a hearty portion of another Italian main course!
