The Hidden Restaurant In Nevada That’s Surrounded By The Most Breathtaking Fall Colors
Located in the remote yet beautiful town of Genoa—Nevada's oldest settlement—is a true hidden gem of a restaurant that is surrounded by the most breathtaking fall colors. 1862 David Walley's Restaurant & Saloon is part and parcel of 1862 David Walley's Hot Springs Resort. You'll think you died and went to heaven while enjoying the restaurant's tasty food and spectacular panoramic views. Take a look:
1862 David Walley's Restaurant and Saloon is located at 2001 Foothill Road in beautiful Genoa.
The interior is as rustically beautiful as the stunning outdoors scenery.
There is a full bar, also charmingly decorated; the saloon if you will.
While Genoa is striking year-round, in the autumn when the leaves change, the area has an even more magical appearance.
The area hot springs provide a perfect mirror to reflect the Sierra Nevada mountains with their early dusting of snow. You can also see the steam rising from the hot springs.
Aren't these colors truly divine?
The food is superb, prepared by award-winning Chef Brandon Kealoha. Among the wonderful appetizers and salads is this amazing seared foie gras.
The menu contains more "traditional" items like pizzas and burgers as well as a three-course prix fixe and small plate options.
There are also other, more "exotic" entrees like teriyaki wasabi ribs, bison pasta, and Jamaican jerk salmon.
1862 David Walley's also offers many game entrees like these seared antelope chops with sweet potato Lyonnaise, spinach, and honey bourbon sauce. That looks simply divine.
Of course, there are also steaks, filets, fish, fowl, and pasta. The menu is truly extensive and everything will make your taste buds explode.
The desserts are amazing too. From creme brule to mousse to tiramisu to this incredible looking cheesecake with fresh fruit and beyond, make sure you save some room!
If you are looking for a truly sumptuous hidden restaurant with the most breathtaking fall colors then 1862 David Walley's Restaurant & Saloon is the place to go. You won't be disappointed. The restaurant is open daily from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
