The Hidden Nebraska Deli That Makes The Best Sandwiches Ever

Swartz's Delicatessen in Omaha serves authentic, old-school Jewish deli sandwiches with in-house smoked pastrami and homemade matzo ball soup.

You might not think of Omaha, Nebraska as the kind of place where you'd find authentic, Jewish deli... but maybe you just haven't looked hard enough. Here's a little deli that's serving up some seriously tasty, old-school deli sandwiches.

Swartz's Delicatessen is hidden away in a strip mall, but don't be too quick to judge.

The address is 8718 Pacific Street, Omaha.

The inside is actually quite classy for a strip mall location.... and the smells that greet you at the door will immediately make your mouth water.

This little deli just opened last year, but it quickly won a Yelp award. You'll see why as soon as you take a bite of your tasty sandwich.

The pastrami is smoked in-house every evening.

The result? Incredibly tender, perfectly-seasoned pastrami. They pile it high on your sandwich.

In fact, the portions here are huge... and the pickles are pretty big, too.

Matzo balls are also homemade right here in the deli.

The matzo ball soup is to die for.

Try some latkes! These potato pancakes are perfect for brunch.

The deli fills up during the lunch rush, but the wait is well worth it.

Take home some goodies from the deli case. You'll find everything from matzo balls to lox.

Have you dined at Swartz's Delicatessen? We'd love to hear what you thought of your experience!
