Nashville has virtually exploded with new eateries in the past couple of years, with a new coffee shop or bar or brunch spot bursting onto the scene every couple of months. Sometimes, though? We just need something quick and delicious. Which is why we found ten restaurants that aren't TOO far from the interstate, so you can pop off and on within an hour. Have fun, enjoy for us!
10. Jack's Bar-B-Que - Various Locations
We recommend that you visit the location right off the Charlotte exit downtown, Jack's is a great place to go if you're looking for good bbq quick. They even sell their special sauces, so you can take a bit of Nashville home with you. It's a cheap, no frills eatery, so bring your appetite and leave your attitude!
9. Hermitage Cafe - 71 Hermitage Avenue
Hermitage Cafe is Nashville's greasy spoon, but it's located just a minute from the highway and the ever-popular Honkytonk Highway, so a stack of pancakes are never too far away.
8. Rotier's Restaurant - 2413 Elliston Place
Known for having the best burger in Nashville, Rotier's is a fun place to stop in you're in or near West End, or will be driving down Highway 440. Served on a slice of french bread, this is truly a Nashville experience you can't get anywhere else.
7. The Loveless Café - 8400 Highway 100
Um, isn't Loveless a given? It is actually located ON Highway 100, so if you're traversing the backwoods of Nashville you don't have far to go. They're biscuits are dreamy, their eggs light and fluffy and you can even walk around the small shops they have on the property. Your morning is taken care of!
6. 427 Union - 417 Union Street
This teensy tiny diner is located in downtown Nashville, and it's a fun place to go if you'd rather not brave Hermitage Cafe and want a hometown vibe. A favorite amongst business-folk, this is where you need to go for a hefty breakfast before the big meeting.
5. Monell's at the Manor - 1400 Murfreesboro Pike
Located right near the airport, Monell's at the Manor is great for a big meal before you head out of state. The all-you-can-eat menu is served family style, and it's a great place for you to enjoy fried chicken and collard greens in the Volunteer State. This is the real thing!
4. Baja Burrito - Various Locations
A favorite amongst college students, Baja Burrito serves up a solid burrito. Really. They're big and juicy and delicious, made to order right in front of your eyes. It really doesn't get better than a pile of chips and guac too, wouldn't you say? Plus, it's located right off of Highway 65, making it easy to get to and quick to enjoy.
3. King Market - 1801 Antioch Pike
This quirky space is located off of I-24 in Antioch, and we'd highly recommend the pad thai or pho. Located in an Asian market, you can order Thai and Laotian favorites by yourself or with a group. This is another space that is great for a quick business lunch!
2. Just Love Coffee & Eatery - Various Locations
Just Love is a fun, open coffee chain that you can find from Nashville to Murfreesboro. We have a bit of a soft spot of the Music Row location, however, due to its close proximity to the highway and ease of service. Plus, you're in the bustle of downtown without all the crowds. Score! 1. Mas Tacos Por Favor - 732 McFerrin Avenue
Mas Tacos is a Nashville classic, perfect for young and old, easy on the wallet with their $3 tacos and right off of Ellington Parkway. Come during their off hours to get a quick lunch or dinner, and make sure to leave room for their horchata - absolutely dreamy.
