10. Edley's Bar-B-Que - Nashville
Edley's has made a name for itself as one of the most tourist AND local friendly bbq chains in the city, with their classic decor and menu offerings. We'd say that classic is the best word for them, yes: and their down-home pulled pork bbq sandwich. Grab it on their eat-in tins with a side of bean salad and a dessert of banana cream pie - Tennessee eating at its best. (Various Locations)
9. Peg Leg Porker - Nashville
Peg Leg Porker in Nashville is located just outside of the Gulch, an area most wouldn't quite associate with a drippy bbq sandwich. Thankfully, this streamlined and light filled neighborhood hasn't been forgotten - Peg Leg Porker has a bbq sandwich plate with the option for two sides, and buckets of beer that will keep you sated 'til Monday. (903 Gleaves Street)
8. Jack of Hearts
Alright, alright - Jack of Hearts is a bit outside of Nashville. A hard bit outside of Nashville. The Spring Hill suburb is closer to Franklin, but their in-house white sauce and delicious sandwiches make the drive all the more worth it. The no-frills atmosphere only gives a higher emphasis on their deliciously cured meats - it's a must. (5343 Main Street, Spring Hill)
7. Slow & Low BBQ Bistro
There may not be a sandwich pictured here, but don't blow us off when we say Slow & Low makes a mean one. Everything on the menu is made from scratch, like something mama made you. The Sylvan Park spot doesn't get the massive attention our East Nashville bbq joints get, so you'll be getting something delicious in record time. Chow down! (333 54th Ave N)
6. The Loveless Cafe
What, you say - the Loveless Cafe?! Yes, their lunch menu may not be as well known as their breakfast biscuits, but it's just as decadent. The cafe is known for their southern comfort food, and we know exactly why. Try out their pulled pork sandwich, live a little - you'll be back. (8400 Tennessee Highway 100)
5. Jack's Bar-B-Que
Jack's has multiple locations in Nashville, each a to-the-point, low-key joint that serves good food and southern hospitality up in spades. The macaroni-and-cheese is delicious, but we'll always be a fan of the good ol' pulled pork sandwich. It's popular for a reason, folks! (Various Locations)
4. Martin's BBQ Joint
Martin's is proud of their history and equally proud of their bbq sandwich infused present. You'll find their Tennessee pride strewn across the place, and it's refreshing to take in a love of state with an equally good side of fries. You can buy their bbq sauces online as well, so stock up if you're just on your way through. Somethin' to remember us by.
3. Jim 'N Nick's
It's true, Jim 'N Nick's BBQ is a chain - but a good chain. There's something to be said about a restaurant that keeps up their quality with their quantity, and we believe it deserves a solid pat on the back. The brisket sandwich is a keeper, by the way - their Alabama white sauce? Delicious. (Various Locations)
2. Puckett's

Puckett's is the epitome of Nashville southern cooking. Multiple locations house a tiny grocery as well as a stage for nightly live music, an edge that gives your evening a bit of twang. You can get a sandwich of pulled pork, beef brisket or chicken, and each one is better than the last. If you can't make it out to the original location in Leipers Fork, you should head downtown. There's just something about bbq in the heart of Nashville - it just feels right. (500 Church Street)
1. Hog Heaven
Hog Heaven is Nashville's sleeper hit, a charming walk-up window right by Centennial Park that hides a killer pulled pork sandwich behind its chicken wire walls. Don't let the low-key atmosphere fool you - this here is some of the best eats in the city. Come on off-hours to beat a line, but make sure you come. This is our favorite spot in Nashville! Do you agree? (115 27th Ave N)
