Yes, You Can Eat Unlimited Haddock at This Beloved Maine Restaurant

Eagles Nest Restaurant in Brewer is a local favorite for fresh seafood—and one bite is all it takes to understand the hype.

I consider myself a foodie. I love trying new dishes and visiting restaurants that readers recommend. One of these must-visit eateries is Eagles Nest Restaurant in Brewer. This isn’t a large restaurant, and it’s certainly not flashy, but it’s worth a spot on every bucket list—especially if you love seafood. Eagles Nest Restaurant offers exceptional service, river views, mouthwatering lobster rolls, and an all-you-can-eat haddock fish fry that you’ll be thinking about for days to come.

Brewer is a beautiful place to explore during a day trip or a multi-day adventure. This town is part of the Bangor metropolitan area, sits right along the Penobscot River, and offers small-town charm. The Eagles Nest Restaurant on North Main Street in Brewer is one restaurant where that charm is certainly evident. It’s a hidden gem that locals can’t get enough of, and after just one visit, you’ll see why so many people recommend it.

Inside, there are only a handful of tables and booths to sit down and enjoy a meal. But even if you wish to take your meal to go, you won’t regret it. The friendly smiles and excellent service are evident from the minute you walk through the door. Outside the restaurant's big windows, you can enjoy views of the Penobscot River and possibly even observe wildlife playing in this beautiful area. This is the type of place where it’s easy to sit and stay for a while.

The Eagles Nest Restaurant is open seven days a week and is a little slice of heaven for seafood lovers. This restaurant is known for several menu items, particularly its massive lobster rolls that are served with French fries and coleslaw. If you aren’t in the mood for a lobster roll, try a lobster grilled cheese, a lobster BLT, or one of the many other lobster items on the menu.

There are also a variety of clam, scallop, and shrimp dinners. If you can’t make up your mind, try the seafood platter, featuring everything from whole belly clams to scallops, shrimp, and haddock. This platter is so large, you’ll need to share it with a friend (but we won’t judge if you wish to keep it all for yourself).

One of the most popular items on the menu, and one where you’ll definitely need a hearty appetite, is the all-you-can-eat haddock fish fry. Available seven days a week, fill up your stomach and satisfy your craving with some of the best fried fish in Brewer and the surrounding area.

And while you will certainly have a hard time stopping with your all-you-can-eat haddock, I recommend you also save room for dessert—or at least take some to go. From pies to cake, there are a variety of sweet treats to add the perfect touch to any meal.

Of course, there are many other items on the menu as well, including a variety of burgers (the haddock burger is another must-try), chopped sirloin, liver and onions, and more. There is also a children’s menu, lighter meal choices, and a selection of beverages. And while there are many other seafood restaurants in the Bangor area, Eagles Nest Restaurant certainly deserves your attention. In fact, this small restaurant has received numerous awards, including the 2025 Best Seafood Restaurant in the Greater Bangor Area.

Plan a visit and see for yourself what makes this Maine restaurant a local favorite. Just make sure you arrive hungry. It doesn’t matter whether you order the lobster roll, the all-you-can-eat haddock, or something else off the menu, you won’t want to leave a single crumb on your plate. Visit the Eagles Nest Restaurant Facebook page for more information on its menu, current hours, news, and updates.
