Fielder’s Choice Has Maine’s Biggest Ice Cream Cone And They Just Opened Early For The Season

A lot of things come with the slowly warming temps and longer days of sunshine. More outdoor time, of course. But also ice cream! And that's pretty much why we get through cold winters and all that rain, wind and snow. While we're not quite at summertime yet, we're getting close and some recent warm temperatures have us dreaming of when that finally does come. Until then, we've got some good news. One of our favorite ice cream shops in the state recently announced that they've opened early. And we're more than ready!

Is it a winter miracle or just great luck that Fielder's Choice know how important it is for Mainers to have their summer ice cream fix just a little bit early? Hard to say, but either way we're happy to say that all five locations opened for the season on March 1st!

This family-owned business has locations in Sabattus, Brunswick, Manchester, Old Orchard Beach, and Auburn. So, no matter what corner of the state you find yourself in there's a good chance you'll have access to these huge cones.

And we do mean huge. Fielder's Choice is known for the massive amounts of ice cream they pile on their cones.

And things like banana splits are no different. Come hungry and with a hearty sweet tooth.

While every location offers something different, the main things are all the same. And that includes the flavors and varieties of desserts you can order.

And if you love toppings you'll be extra pleased with a visit. They have tons to choose from.

Even a "small" order will leave you with a giant cone to take down.

And while we love how big the servings are, we also appreciate how un-fussy things are. Simple cones and cups are what you'll get here. And they're perfect for a warm night outside.

We also appreciate how easy it is to order. In the summertime, just step right up and place your order at the outdoor counter.

If you're lucky you might have the option of taking home something special like an ice cream sandwich.
