Have a sweet tooth that needs to be satisfied? Lucky for us in Maine, there are quite a few sweet shops to choose from. One of those might have stolen our hearts though, for having both an indulgent collection of gourmet fudge along with an impressive array of hard candy.

Uncle Willy's Candy Shoppe has been serving indulgent sweets to the Camden community since 2008.
These aren't your typical caramel apples. Uncle Willy's Candy Shoppe thinks out of the box with additional toppings and indulgent drizzles of sweetness
There's also a delicious selection of homemade peanut brittle for those who enjoy a bit of a crunch with their chocolate.
On the first floor, you'll find a glass-enclosed display with all of their mouthwatering fudge collections.

Barrels and barrels filled to the brim with taffy and other types of candy line the staircase and all of the candy can be purchased by the pound.
There are also tons of different jelly beans to choose from.
The owner is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about candy, and everyday the shop posts a photo on Facebook announcing the "Candy of the Day" along with a fun fact about it.
For instance, the Mallo Cup was invented during the Great Depression by the Boyer Brothers. One of the brothers made the candies, the mother and sister wrapped them, and the other brother would go door to door selling them in their neighborhood. Looks like all of that teamwork worked out well for them!

Ready for your sweet escape? Uncle Willy's Candy Shoppe is closed on Tuesdays, but open from 10 am - 6pm Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and from 10 am - 8pm Friday and Saturday. On Sundays, the shop is open from 12 pm - 6pm.
