Sip Wine While You Read At This One-Of-A-Kind Bookstore Bar In Maine

With a busy schedule it can be hard to relax in all the ways we want. That's why we love this unique bar. It doubles as a bar and a bookstore, while also offering fun game nights and snacks. The next time you can't decide if you're more of an extrovert or an introvert, head to this place!

One of the most unique places for a fun few hours in Maine is Quill Books and Beverage located in Westbrook.

At first glance, it might seem like a simple, airy bookstore with the added benefit of a small cafe.

But the reality is a bit more exciting! The cafe offers coffee and tea, plus wine, rotating local drafts, beers in cans and even cocktails.

It's the first place in Maine that allows you to be both a book lover and a drink lover all at once.

The setting is so simple - book shelves line the walls and with wide open space things don't feel musty and crowded like some other bookstores with cafes.

We love that the drinks are always rotating.

The food menu is large, making this more of a meal destination than a place to get light bites. We love the breakfasts, but recommend you also stick around for lunch to grab a sandwich, salad or panini.

And our favorite new addition came this spring with the creation of an outdoor seating area.

There are a variety of special events hosted each week, including game night.

And you might also find a local musician sharing their work with patrons.

Whatever it is what gets you out of the house, there's a good chance that it exists here in Westbrook!
