There's just something about enjoying a meal paired with a beautiful view that takes that meal to new levels. Pair that with the company of your favorite loved ones, and you've got yourself one special evening. When you're looking for the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal, there's one hidden restaurant in Louisiana that's got some truly incredible waterfront views, and you'll love it.
Tucked away on the shores of Lake Kincaid, Tunk’s Cypress Inn & Oyster Bar has been a local favorite since it opened in 1978.
After spending a day boating on the lake, Tunk's is the perfect spot to sit back and relax.
There's even a dock you can pull your boat up to and head right in.
When the views are this fabulous, outdoor seating is an absolute must...
...but honestly, even the views from inside are mesmerizing.
And air-conditioned!
Known for its seafood, the menu at Tunk's features a wide range of selections.
From fried alligator to red snapper fillets...
...there's a little bit of everything here at Tunk's. Of course, you can't go wrong with one of the seafood platters (pictured below).
Fried seafood towers are always a good idea, and Tunk's has some of the best!
You may want to sink your teeth into one of the juicy steaks.
The bacon-wrapped tenderloin filet is a fan-favorite, but the ribeye is always a home run.
Do you like oysters? Then be sure to get yourself a dozen or two!
During oyster season, that is.
Tunk's is open five days a week.
Hours of operation:
Wednesday & Thursday: 4:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 4:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.
