This One New Orleans Restaurant Serves Up The Most Mouthwatering Louisiana Staples
Atchafalaya in New Orleans offers a unique blend of classic New Orleans dishes and southern cuisine with live music and cocktails.
One of the best parts of living New Orleans is the food. We are blessed to live in an area that has such a unique and iconic culinary history, and we get to enjoy it every day! Here's one of our favorite restaurants serving up some mouthwatering Louisiana cuisine you're sure to love.
If you’ve never been to Atchafalaya, you’re in for a real treat.
Sam Petrossi and his wife opened Petrossi’s Restaurant in 1924. Their sons continued to run the restaurant after Sam passed away, until they sold the restaurant in 1985.
The next owner changed the name to Cafe Atchafalaya, putting a new spin on traditional New Orleans dishes.
When Rachael Jaffe and Tony Tocco purchased the restaurant in 2008, they shorted the name to "Atchafalaya" and introduced live music and cocktails and became a popular hang out for locals.
This trendy restaurant is pulling out all the stops when it comes to their menu.
Pictured above is their black drum with gulf shrimp, oysters, jumbo lump crab meat, sweet corn, stewed okra and tomatoes. Yum!
