The Tiny Restaurant In Kansas That Only Serves A Few Tables At A Time

We've all heard the phrase "bigger isn't necessarily better," and that sentiment is certainly true when it comes to restaurants. There are some tiny restaurants in Kansas that are just as delicious as their larger counterparts. From cozily intimate date night spots to casual grab-and-go take out joints, these are places you don't want to skip out on just because of their small square footage. One of our favorite small restaurants in the Sunflower State is in the little city of Kingman, not far from Wichita. There, you'll find the delicious Smitty's Carry Out, an old-fashioned, no-frills joint that has just a few tables, but is a favorite of travelers and locals alike. Whether you're dining in at the small handful of tables or getting your food to go, one thing's for sure: it's going to be delicious! Check it out:

If you love old-fashioned, diner-type restaurants, Smitty's Carry Out will be right up your alley.

There's no lengthy menu here with countless items to choose from.

There are just a few interior tables (plus a couple outside for al fresco dining on warm weather days), which means you're almost guaranteed to enjoy conversation with locals if you enjoy your meal here.

While there are a few other items on the menu, the burgers are the main draw.

These 1/3-pound patties are superb.

The burgers are served well done and they are certainly full of flavor.

If you're feeling extra hungry, opt for a double (or even a triple).

Many regulars swear by the homemade onion rings, which are the perfect crispy complement to your burger or sandwich.

If you're looking for an excellent burger in Kingman, KS, Smitty's Carry Out is a great option!

Smitty's Carry Out doesn't have a website, but you can check out the Smitty's Carry Out Facebook page for a menu and list of current specials.

Kingman's right beside the beautiful Kingman State Fishing Lake and Wildlife Area, which is home to a lovely little 1.8-mile loop trail. Why not check it out after grabbing your food: or maybe plan a picnic?
