Do you remember the days of heading down to the local general store to pick up everything you needed for the week? Maybe grab a bite to eat, groceries, and supplies all in one trip? Those days may be gone in most places (we do still have some general stores in Kansas!), but you can get a similar experience at Prairy Market and Deli in Newton, Kansas. You may occasionally see this spot referred to as Prairie Harvest - it's a little shop on Main Street that sells locally-made foods and even has a deli inside that serves up some of the best freshly-baked bread in Kansas.

Prairy Market and Deli is the brick-and-mortar headquarters of Prairy, a Kansas-based brand that focuses on crafting health foods.

You'll find a variety of produce and pre-packaged treats inside the store, with plenty of healthy snacks to choose from.

Some of the Prairy products, like the delectable miniature cookies known as "Bites," are produced right here on-site.

Of course, since it's also a deli, you can also pick up some incredible freshly-baked bread.

There's a great selection of grab-and-go meals here, including soups made in-house and amazing kitchen-made freezer meals.

Nearly everything here is locally sourced, so you're keeping all your dollars local by shopping at Prairy Market and Deli.

This makes for an excellent stop on a road trip! Newton is right at the intersection of several major highways, so if you're traveling through the state and in need of a pit stop, we highly recommend heading here.
