If you're like me, you enjoy having a nice glass of wine every so often (every so often = every night at dinner) -- whether you enjoy something rich and robust or sweet and crisp, local wineries have flavors that will satisfy even the snobbiest pickiest of pallets! Here are 10 beautiful (and delicious) Kansas vineyards that you must visit:
1.) Smoky Hill Vineyards & Winery (Salina)
You can't go wrong with any of the fabulous, award-winning wines from Smoky Hill. (River Valley Red is my personal favorite!)
2.) Shiloh Vineyard & Winery (Wakeeney)
Hidden in western Kansas is this family owned, hidden gem that offers both free tours and samples.
3.) Wyldewood Cellars Winery (Peck)
Since 1994, Wyldewood Cellars has been pouring out tasty red, white, rose, blush, and specialty wines!
4.) Vogel Family Vineyards (Galena)
Tucked away in the southeast corner of the state lies Vogel Vineyards, a company dedicated to producing wines not normally grown in the Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma area. (They do it oh-so-well!)
5.) Oz Winery (Wamego)
C'mon...no Kansas list is complete without some sort of a "Wizard of Oz" reference -- plus, their wine is delish!
6.) Crooked Post Vineyard & Winery (Ozawkie)
This Italian style vineyard offers award-winning wines, tours, tastings, and gorgeous views.
7.) Rosewood Winery (Pawnee Rock)
Rosewood doesn't only serve up wines, but other gourmet foods, body products, candles, and more!
8.) Grace Hill Winery (Whitewater)
Not only is the wine wonderful, but so are the bottles -- wouldn't this make a great hostess gift?!
9.) Aubrey Vineyards (Overland Park)
Are you (or somebody you know) planning a wedding? Why not consider exchanging vows at this picturesque vineyard?
