This Kansas Ice Cream Shop Has Over 70 Flavors And You’ll Want To Try Them All
Sylas and Maddy's is a popular ice cream shop known for its homemade cones and a wide variety of unique flavors.
Who doesn't love an ice cream after a warm day outside? Some of us love ice cream so much we'll eat it whether it's cold outside or hot. This amazing ice cream shop makes homemade cones and ice creams in every flavor you can think of. You'll want to keep coming back again and again until you've tried every flavor at least once. I wonder how many trips that would take?
Welcome to your new favorite ice cream shop, named Sylas and Maddy's. No matter the weather, nothing hits the spot like a cone from this ice cream shop.
Starting in 1997, they first opened a store in Lawrence with their amazing homemade ice cream flavors, expanding to Olathe after it caught on.
They have 74 flavors listed on their website, and they rotate depending on what is best in season, what is made that day, and what is already gone before you get there. They have said that if you come up with a new flavor and it turns out to be a hit, you can receive a sweet surprise for your suggestion. The more the merrier, I suppose!
Every flavor you see in the shop is handmade daily, as well as the waffle cones used for hundreds of hundreds of scoops every week.
Some of their flavors end up including crazy items in each bucket, like a whole pie or a whole watermelon. These buckets aren't that large, so they're definitely packed with flavor.
If you're looking for something special, your best bet is to try and get there early. All of the best flavors go quick! They're open from noon to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 12:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sundays.
You'll find both locations of Sylas and Maddy's at 1014 Massachusetts St, Lawrence, Kansas and 11925 S Strang Line Rd, Olathe, Kansas. For their full list of 74 flavors, visit their website here.
To me, ice cream goes best after a good burger and fries. You should check out these burgers and fries all over eastern Kansas.
