Do you ever get tired of the same old restaurants in town? Kansas City seems to have a million restaurants to choose from, but sometimes you can find better food outside of town. Of course, the drive to this remote restaurant might be longer than you're used to, but the food? Worth every minute.
We're headed to the town of Gower, where you'll find The Daily Cafe & Bakery.
It's a pleasant little spot that doesn't get much attention, but the food is so good, it's worth the price of gas to get there. It's under an hour's drive from most of Kansas City. Mark it on your map, and let's go!
They serve incredible breakfast...
Sticky buns and donuts are all over the place, but they go quick! This little bakery is out to steal the hearts of stomachs everywhere.
...amazing lunch...
Lunches are my favorite here, but make sure to reserve a slice of pie just in case it's flying out of the fridge!
...and unbeatable dinner!
They serve comfort food aplenty, though their menu rotates from day to day. Sometimes you'll be surprised with an Italian dinner or treated to one of their weekly specials, like Fried Chicken Day.
Their carrot cake is perfect for any dessert, and is locally famous for being the best around.
They're closed on Mondays, and open for brunch on Sundays. Otherwise, their hours are 11am - 8pm on Tuesday to Friday, and 7am - 9pm on Saturdays. You'll find this remote restaurant at 407 N 169 Hwy., Gower, Missouri
