In business since the 1930s, Emery's Premium Ice Cream is a vintage candy store and old-fashioned soda fountain that few people know exists. This Hoosier gem is a seasonal local favorite that is worth the drive from any corner of the state.

Though the business has changed locations over the years, it is currently situated in the old Adams-Payne house, which was built in the early 1800s. Over the years, it has served as the home of a mayor, been converted into a hotel, and much more.

The interior is incredibly charming and will take you back to the 1950s. Locals and tourists alike love to wander around inside. You can enjoy a soda at the bar and shop the baskets of classic penny-style candy.

Most popular here is the wide selection of Virginia saltwater taffy that will make you think you're on an east-coast boardwalk.
