The Tiny Bistro In Indiana That Only Serves A Few Guests At A Time
Brazil, Indiana, is a small town with a population of about 8,100 as of the 2020 census. It's a nice, quiet little place, with a cute downtown and plenty of excellent dining options. Take, for example, the wonderful little hole-in-the-wall (or perhaps "hole in the garden") bistro on Murphy Road. From the outside, it looks cute - it indicates that you're definitely about to dig into some amazing comfort food, should you come inside. But should you come inside, you might have to wait for a little while... this tiny restaurant in Indiana only serves a handful of people at a time, but I promise: the wait is worth every moment.
The Honeysuckle Hill Bee-stro is a labor of love owned by one passionate local family.
The Lohrmans are a beekeeping family, and they brought this over to their absolutely delightful little mom-and-pop joint.
This is reflected in the entire menu; at least 1/3 of the items on it incorporate fresh honey in some way.
Perhaps most interestingly, though, is that the menu is ever-changing; there's a new one every week, ensuring that every time you visit you're in for a whole new adventure.
The place is small and feels like you're back at nana's house, with a modern spin.
Thanks to its smaller size, it can only serve so many guests at a time; though not required, I do definitely recommend that you make reservations.
No matter what's on the menu during any given week, rest assured that it's going to be to die for.
The brilliantly creative menu is only one reason folks keep showing up; the food is amazing, but the service is at least just as excellent.
Come by yourself for breakfast or bring a whole group in to take the place over for a birthday or anniversary.
With enough notice, the kind folks here are happy to help. It's a favorite spot for exactly these kinds of things among the locals.
The dessert menu is incredible, offering plenty of baked goodies, pies, cookies, and more to satisfy that sweet tooth.
After all, what's a meal of all-American comfort food without a nice sweet finish?
If you ever find yourself craving a taste of home - wherever that might be - come on out to Brazil.
Truly, this little bistro is absolutely worth it.
