This charming and cozy restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique dining experience in the city. From the moment you step inside, you'll be transported to a warm and welcoming atmosphere filled with the tempting aromas of delicious Hawaiian comfort food.
This classic has been serving up delicious dishes for Hawaiian locals since 1948.
The menu is varied with all of the great dishes you need when you're in search of comfort food: old-fashioned cheeseburgers, grilled cheese, spam and egg sandwiches, and shoyu chicken.
The menu is as varied as it is good, with regulars raving about pretty much whatever they order.
The teryaki sauce is flavorful and not too sweet, the burgers are juicy, and Saimin is top-notch, and easily one of the most ordered items on the list.
The decor hasn't changed much since it first opened, with some of the same signs hanging up for decades.
It's also affordable, with a cheeseburger coming in at under $6.00, and stews and curries all under $11.00. Breakfast for two will easily come in under $20.00, which can be hard to find.
The service is fast and friendly, and the food is hot and tasty.
With a solid menu packed with tasty dishes, it's easy to see why this little Hawaiian diner has lasted the test of time.
Make sure you bring cash, as the restaurant does not accept credit cards.
There is not much parking available, just street parking on busy Liliha Street, so you may have to walk a little bit to find parking. But the cheap prices and excellent food are absolutely worth it.

Visit their location seven days a week. On Mondays through Fridays, swing by from 7:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays you can fill your belly from 7:00 a.m. through 2:30 p.m.
