I don't know about you, but sometimes there's nothing more satisfying than a juicy, flavorful burger with all the fixings. Granted, some people prefer certain fixings to others, however at the heart of the matter is the burger, which let me tell you, may be the best part. Georgia has some truly delicious burger joints, and we've rounded up some of the best of the best in order to give you the ultimate burger bucket list. Get your taste buds ready...
1. Vortex— 878 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309
The Triple Coronary Bypass. That's the name of the biggest, baddest burger at Vortex. But that isn't the only burger. In fact, Vortex serves up incredible grilled burgers that appeal to all the right indulgences you seek to satisfy. Make this a top priority on your burger bucket list ASAP.
2. The Grit, Athens— 199 Prince Ave, Athens, GA 30601
The Grit is meat-free, so before you head on over looking to sink your teeth into some cow patties, be warned. But just because they're meat-free doesn't mean their burgers aren't DELISH. Snag yourself a bean burger and top it with the goods. Your stomach. (and arteries) will thank us.
3. The Varsity— 61 N Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30308
Everyone knows The Varsity is one of the best places to go in the state for succulent, out-of-this-world burgers. It's simple cooking with some of the finest ingredients around, and will forever make our lists as long as they keep serving up scrumptious eats.
4. The Hickory Pig— 3605 Thompson Bridge Rd, Gainesville, GA 30506
The Hickory Pig is known for their BBQ to most outsiders, but for the adventurers who visit this spot and go off the menu, the burgers are where it's at. It's a no-frills joint which serves up some top shelf beef patties, loaded with simplicity—mustard, ketchup, and a pickle of course.
5. Crystal Beer Parlor— 301 W Jones St, Savannah, GA 31401
It's low-key, it's casual, it's delectable. Crystal Beer Parlor is quite an old spot, still serving up amazing burgers to visitors and tourists alike. It's the perfect place to grab a burger, grab a beer, and relax after a long day.
6. Randy’s— 4276 White Oak Gap Rd, Trenton, GA 30752
Randy's Restaurant is the type of place that stays a hidden gem, or maybe just a locals gem. Because this spot is only 15 minutes from Cloudland Canyon, hikers, bikers and adventurers can get in a bite after a day on the trails. Although the buffet might be calling your name, make sure you try the burger. It's insanely perfect.
7. The Red Eyed Mule— 405 Church Street Ext NW, Marietta, GA 30060

8. Muss & Turner’s— #309, 1675 Cumberland Pkwy SE, Smyrna, GA 30080
This bistro is a fan favorite for many. (Probably because their menu is fun and eclectic and their food is outrageously delicious.) You NEED to try The Burger* (literally the name on the menu) which features Big Green Egg grilled Joyce Farm’s grass-fed beef, roasted poblano pepper, melted cheddar cheese, red onion, cilantro aioli, and a French bun. YUM.
9. Cheeseburger Bobby’s— 125 Barrett Pkwy, Marietta, GA 30066
It's not a fancy burger place, if that's what you're hoping for. Instead, Cheeseburger Bobby's focuses on flavor, plus HUGE beef patties and tons of add-ons. Get your burger however you'd like, with all the fixings provided.
10. Rhea’s Take Out Foods— 1210 Canton St, Roswell, GA 30075
American comfort food—that's what Rhea's has to offer. The burgers are so flavorful and tender, when paired with the grilled toast and if you're feeling frisky, BACON, it's a combination which cannot be stopped.
11. Bocado— 887 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Bocado is known for their burgers. In fact, their bocado burger stack is a huge fan favorite. Could it be because their ingredients rule? Or maybe it's their house-made pickles? Regardless, you have to try these burgers from Bocado. Bocado burger bucket list. HA.
12. Village Burger— 1426 Dunwoody Village Pkwy, Dunwoody, GA 30338
Tasty, tender, tried-and-true. Village Burger has been serving up some top notch burgers for quite a while. They come hand-packed, however you'd like. Imagine being at a friend's house and eating one of the tastiest backyard grill burgers you've ever had. THAT'S Village Burger.
13. Ann’s Snack Bar— 1615 Memorial Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30317
