The Annual Cuban Sandwich Festival In Florida Is Coming Back As A Drive-In Event

The 9th annual Cuban Sandwich Festival in Florida is back this year and you do not want to miss out on all of the scrumptiousness.

In order to pivot for 2020, the festival will be held as a drive-in event in Tampa, so don’t worry about missing out on tasting all of those sandwiches.

In case you’re unaware of what a Cuban Sandwich consists of, picture layers of roasted pork and ham, melted Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard all pressed together on delicious grilled Cuban bread.

The result is a salty, sweet, creamy, toasted dreamboat of a sandwich.

Taking place on November 8th, 2020, there will be three ticketed times available—11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The event is free to attend but spots must be reserved online in advance in order to accommodate the drive-in aspect of the festival.

Contestants will try their hand at making the best Cuban sandwich in Florida, and you don’t even need to be a professional chef in order to submit your sandwich!

Plus there will also be a world record attempt for making the longest Cuban Sandwich ever, with the sandwich being donated to a homeless shelter afterward.

The event is taking place in Tampa at Centro Asturiano which is a historic site in Ybor City.
