Delaware's a great state to find comfort food, and our little mom and pop shops way out in the boonies are often the best places to find them. Jimmy's Grill, in Bridgeville, may be in the middle of nowhere but they make some of the best comfort food you'll ever have.

Please note, Jimmy's has permanently closed.

Jimmy's is way down on Route 13, 40 minutes south of Dover.

This Little Delaware Family Creamery Is A Sweet Country Dream

Vanderwende Creamery in Delaware offers some of the best ice cream made from locally sourced ingredients and fresh milk from their own cows.

Delaware is known for being a big producer of ice cream. While we aren't home to the Ice Cream Capital of the World (thanks Iowa), we're sure home to some mighty fine dairies and creameries. This creamery is one of the oldest in the state, and still making some of the best ice cream in Delaware since the family opened up their farm 65 years ago.

Vanderwende Creamery Delaware is a family-run dairy located in Bridgeville, Delaware. This third-generation farm started with just $35 and six cows in 1954...

You can meet many of the friendly Holstein dairy cows when you visit to pick up some of the best ice cream in Delaware.
