You Can Boat Up To The Bar At Grain H20, A Welcoming Waterfront Restaurant In Delaware

Grain H2O is a popular boat-in restaurant on the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal offering craft American fare and waterfront dining.

If you're out on the water for a day, it's easy to work up an appetite! That's why Delawareans are lucky to have several boat-in restaurants that make it easy to cruise up for a great meal. Most of these spots are on the ocean coast, though, but if you're looking for a place to eat on the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, you've got to dine at Grain H2O.

Grain H2O is part of a small local chain of Grain restaurants, each one with its own special twist.

They have a location on Main Street in Newark and near the Cape May-Lewes Ferry docks in Lewes, and their amazing food has won them all sorts of "Best Of" awards from Delaware Today over the years.

As you might have guessed by their name, Grain H2O is a waterfront location - and you can even boat right up and park in one of their guest boat slips!

The Summit North Marina is located on the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, making Grain the perfect place to stop for anyone cruising through the canal between the Chesapeake Bay and Delaware River.

The menu here is craft American fare. You'll find burgers, BBQ, tacos, nachos, and wings, but this is far from a fast-food joint! Everything is made fresh to order and with locally-sourced and inspired ingredients.

Here on the water, crab is king! Try the Crabby Pretzel, Crab Fries, or Crab Nachos and you'll quickly fall in love with each dish.

Grain offers an extensive drink menu, too! Order a strawberry basin lemonade or a cocktail from their full bar and you'll feel refreshed and ready to get back on the water in no time.

Save room for dessert! Treat your sweet tooth to a few bites of something from the bakery. Their featured desserts change regularly.

If you're out on the canal for a morning cruise, you'll be happy to hear that Grain H2O offers brunch! Come by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday to enjoy brunch burgers, fruity waffles, and all sorts of delicious egg dishes.

Oh, if you don't have a boat, don't worry! There's plenty of car parking too - and you can even access this restaurant by bike, too! It overlooks the Michael Castle Trail along the canal.

Come by for lunch and go for a walk afterwards to enjoy a little slice of heaven along one of Delaware's most famous waterways.
