Waterfront restaurants in Connecticut are such a delight. There's something so special about enjoying your meal while looking out over the water, seeing the waves roll in or perhaps watching boats meander on by. We are fortunate enough to have quite a few waterfront restaurants in the state. One of our favorites is right on the edge of New Haven Harbor: Shell and Bones. This tasty spot offers up exquisite seafood and seasonal patio dining that overlooks the harbor.

Shell and Bones is located literally right on the water in New Haven. This place's exquisite location is matched by the wonderful quality of the food here.

There's an indoor dining area, though really we can't imagine why you'd want to eat inside.

The food here is absolutely magical. Shell and Bones has a focus on fresh food that's sustainably caught.

Everything is made fresh in house by the award-winning chef, and the quality is visible in everything from the ingredients to the presentation.

The raw bar is one of the best in New England. You'll find fresh farm to table oysters and clams, all locally sourced.

We don't know what looks better, that incredible sunset view or the bourbon peach tart Tatin.

Whether you're looking for a romantic date idea or want to go out and celebrate a special occasion, it doesn't get much more high class than Shell and Bones.
