The Surprising And Eclectic Southwestern Menu At The Historic Salado In Colorado Will Keep You Guessing
If you had to pick one type of food that the Centennial State specializes in, which would you say? Let me guess: Southwestern foods (a la green chile, smothered burritos, etc.), right? Since we have a taste for spice, we are always on the lookout for delicious Southwest-inspired places to eat, like Colorado's surprising and eclectic Salado Restaurant:
Located in Fairplay, Salado Restaurant is the historic mining town's go-to for all things fresh and flavorful... and for a good reason!
Boasting a low-key yet rustic atmosphere, there is never a bad time to visit Salado, especially when you pair the ambiance with friendly staff and killer drink specials.
Need we mention that Salado is also THE place for al fresco dining?
Let's talk food, shall we? As we previously mentioned, Salado is the place to be for a diverse and delicious Southwestern menu, beginning with such favorites as bowls of pork green chile, stuffed poblanos, and tacos.
In addition to these more traditional options, Salado also has more unique flavors like elk jalapeno sausage, Ruby red trout, and seared duck breast. Yum!
What is a Colorado restaurant without mouthwatering burgers? Salado has those, too.
