Everyone Goes Nuts For The Hamburgers At This Nostalgic Eatery In Cincinnati

There are many places around town that claim to have the best burger. Everyone is bound to have their favorite, but we can still all agree that Cincinnati is filled with delicious burger joints. But there is one in particular, located in Mt. Lookout Square, that evokes all sorts of nostalgia and is serving some of the best food in Cincinnati. Zip's Cafe is a memorable eatery in our city where everyone goes nuts for the hamburgers.

Located along picturesque Mt. Lookout Square, Zip's Cafe holds a lot of memories for those who have visited.

From the green awning, to the vintage decor inside and, of course, the mouthwatering burgers, Zip's has been named the best burger joint in our city too many times to count.

You'll usually find a crowd at Zip's, but that's part of the experience.

The seating is first come, first serve, so at times you do have to wait for a table. You may also have to sit next to someone you don't know, but just use that as an opportunity to ask for recommendations from the menu. More than likely, they'll say "anything."

Zip's is known for their burgers... and they are outstanding.

The single Zip Burger with cheese is perfection, but just go ahead and go with the double. The onion rings deserve their own feature; they are that good.

There are also a few specialty burgers on the menu worth coming back for.

The Girth Burger has a split grilled mettwurst on top and is a meat-lover's dream come true. Surprisingly, they also have excellent vegetarian options with a garden burger and a black bean burger.

The rest of the menu isn't too shabby either.

If you're not in the mood for a burger, try the breaded fish sandwich or even a simple grilled cheese. It's one of the best in the city. And Zip's Famous Chili is perfect for dunking.

Aside from the food, the nostalgic atmosphere is what keeps people coming back.

Generations have enjoyed the food and ambiance of Zip's and they've recently restored the famous toy train that encircles a track near the ceiling of the restaurant. Zip's is open Monday - Thursday from 10:30am - 11pm, Friday & Saturday from 10:30pm - 11:30pm, and Sunday from 11am - 11pm.
