It’s An Epic Adventure Flying A Plane To A Rustic Riverfront Restaurant In Arkansas

We told you about the rustic restaurant at Byrd's Adventure Center in Ozark. And in our opinion, the views and food are worth a trip. But did you know that you could fly your plane to the restaurant for a truly epic adventure in Arkansas? Yep folks, the adventure center has two runways, and it hosts fly-ins every spring and fall. So, if you own a single-engine airplane, a trike, a powered parachute, or any lightweight aircraft, fly the Ozark backcountry to Byrd's Adventure Center…enjoy a delicious meal, and perhaps take advantage of all the outdoor recreation the center has to offer.

It's not every day that you can fly an airplane or parachute to a restaurant in the mountains.

But you can certainly do that for a mind-blowing experience at Byrd's Adventure Center.

The center is located on 800-acres tucked on the banks of the Mulberry River and surrounded by gorgeous Ozark vistas.

It boasts 2 runways, a 1900′ airstrip for landing single engine planes and a 1000′ airstrip for lighter weight aircraft.

Of course, you can drive, ride your bike or float to the restaurant, but you’ll miss out on these incredible views. Best of all, flying to the restaurant is free, and you can pitch a tent right next to your plane for a bucket list worthy experience.

Even better, the center hosts yearly fly-in festivals, where folks from all over fly their crafts to enjoy a weekend of fun and adventure.

Plan your trip between March and December when the restaurant is open or plan it around the festivals.

As far as Byrd’s Riverfront Restaurant is concerned, the space is delightfully rustic and boasts stunning Ozark views.

And the menu has everything from steaks to catfish to seafood to burgers, and more. Don’t skip over the homemade desserts!

I know that we all don’t own flying aircrafts, but don’t let that stop you from visiting Byrd's Adventure Center. Plan a weekend camping trip and take advantage of all the fun activities the center has to offer.
