The Quirkiest Restaurant In Arizona That’s Impossible Not To Love

If you take a second glance, Arizona is a pretty weird state. We have hot deserts and tundra environments just a few hours away from each other, we have some strange sights to find around the state, and even our history has some pretty odd facts. So, it wouldn’t be any less fitting to have restaurants that are just as odd and eclectic. One place that earns the designation? Lutes Casino in Yuma.

The building Lutes Casino exists in dates to 1901 when it first operated as a grocery store and hotel.

Eventually it became a small casino, burgers were added to the gambling fare, and the rest was history.

Owner Bobby Lutes began adding some unique decor to the building's interior shortly after he acquired it around 1960.

Posters, old campaign signs,flags, pinatas, a bicycle, an odd collection of lighting fixtures, and other odds and ends hang from the walls and ceiling. It would be impossible to list every odd item you'll find while dining here!

For example, you'll find Superman flying above you while eating...

...and you can snap a portrait of yourself in jail just before your meal.

The restaurant's motto is emblazoned on the rear gate: "where the elite meet."

As for the food? It's delicious!

The restaurant built its reputation on the quality of its hamburgers, which range from your typical double cheeseburger to an odd hot dog/cheeseburger meal that will have you wondering if a hot dog is a sandwich.

You can also find unique entrees on their "elite" menu, just ask the server!

They also serve some yummy Mexican food. Try out their tacos, which are served taquito-style.

The drinks are pretty tasty as well but don't expect them to always arrive in typical glassware!

During Halloween, you'll find your drinks arriving in novelty cups like these.

Other fun, more conventional, things that will make a dining experience here something to remember includes the live music.

Jazz, classic rock, country, and other bands play live almost daily, making the area seem even more alive.

And the best part is that the restaurant is definitely family friendly!
