The festival will take place at the new Orlando Watersports Complex, which is a perfect spot to gather around the water and enjoy a night of music, fun, and festivities.
As a memorable and oftentimes emotional experience, the Water Lantern Festival is intended to inspire the human spirit by releasing personal moments and memories through the lanterns, into the water.
The festival begins at 5 p.m., with a bevy of food trucks, music, and fun happening for the next few hours. Then, around 8 p.m., visitors will be able to begin designing their own lantern with the official lantern launch happening between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
There is nothing quite like seeing thousands of lanterns floating through the water, representing a release for some that is unlike anything else they’ve experienced.
