One of the perks of growing up in Florida is being able to explore and adventure way beyond just your average attractions. For me, one of my favorite places to adventure through, especially during warmer months, are the natural springs. Springs in Florida are some of the most exciting natural wonders and many of them you can savor all day long. Take Morrison Springs as a great example. This swimming hole in Walton, Florida, is a gem and is popular with divers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
Morrison Springs Park, Florida, is a beautiful hidden swimming hole that you’ll need to drive all the way up to the panhandle to enjoy.
As one of the most popular diving spots in northwest Florida, this park is an excellent place to spend a summer afternoon.
The highlight of this 161-acre park is the 250-foot diameter spring pool, estimated to produce 48 million gallons of water daily.
Guests can enjoy the swimming hole amenities, which range from a large boardwalk overlooking the springs to a boat ramp, diving dock, and rope swing.
Wander around the walking paths underneath towering ancient cypress trees before cooling off in the clear water below.
Just know before you go, it’s important to check the water clarity of the park via the website. If you want crystal clear water shown here for swimming or diving, it’ll say so on the website.
