Canyons in Florida? You're probably thinking, "No way." Okay, so The Canyons Zip Line and Adventure Park in Ocala might not technically have canyons, but it is pretty darn close. And get this: You can go ziplining in Florida over them! Check it out:
The first thing you'll probably think when you arrive at The Canyons is, "Where am I?" This incredible scenery probably doesn't look like any place you've seen in mostly-flat Florida before.
Although they're not technically canyons, this area was once a limestone quarry, which explains the dramatic tree-covered cliffs that rise out of the water.
At The Canyons Zip Line and Canopy Tours in Ocala, you can try up to nine different zip lines, including some of the highest, longest, and fastest lines in Florida.
Even if you've already tried a zipline in Florida before, you've never seen one like this. The Super Zip has a unique hang glider-style harness that allows you to imagine you're your favorite superhero as you soar above some of Florida's most beautiful scenery.
For the true thrill-seekers, The Canyons even offers nighttime zip tours. These tours are only offered a few times per year, so keep an eye on their website for more details.
Guests must be at least 10 years old and weigh between 70 and 270 pounds to ride this Florida zipline. Reservations are required.
