The Amish Market Every Floridian Needs To Explore At Least Once
There is a large Amish community within Sarasota, Florida called Pinecraft, which we’ve written about before. Pinecraft has around 3,000 residents and is truly a charming Amish town with tons of local businesses and restaurants worth visiting. For instance, Detwiler’s Farm Market is a staple for residents in Sarasota and the surrounding cities because of the wide variety of fresh foods and the impeccable homemade baked goods. Really, where else can you get an old fashioned banana split while you shop for your produce? Take a look…
Detwiler’s Farm Market in Florida is so much more than your average neighborhood grocery store.
Detwiler’s is family owned and operated and has been around since 2002. It started with one location and has since expanded into five different markets.
Inside, you’ll find farm-fresh produce, a butcher, a seafood shop, and perhaps most importantly, an Amish-style deli and bakery that is brimming with house-made sweets.
The bakery is always a fan favorite with customers, with bread baked fresh every single day—you’ll likely smell it as soon as you walk into the market.
