Put on by the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad, the Dinner Train travels at a leisurely pace through the countryside and along the Namekagon River – all while passengers are served a delicious dinner.
The train, which departs from Trego, boards at 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday evenings.
Once aboard, you can freely move about the train. Go to the bar and grab a drink, relax in the lounge, or simply head to your table in the dining car.
Food service begins at 5:30 p.m. when the train departs from the station.
The hearty dinner includes an appetizer, dinner salad, soup, your choice of one of five pre-selected entrees, and dessert.
Since the train moves at such a leisurely pace, passengers can move about the train throughout the trip. Of course, you can always stay at your table and enjoy the great company…
…and incredible views of farm fields, deep woods, and the Namekagon River.
And just to make sure passengers have a great view day and night, the train is outfitted with special lights that perfectly illuminate the countryside after dark.
At around 8 p.m., the train returns to the station. But the fun doesn’t end when the train ride does – and that’s because the train is open all night, so you can stay aboard and enjoy drinks and music.
Tickets, which are $65 per person, include dinner, transportation, and memories that are sure to last a lifetime.
