A Ride Down This Epic Natural Waterslide In Wisconsin Will Make Your Summer Complete
Siskiwit Falls offers a natural waterslide experience with accessible hiking and scenic beauty near Cornucopia.
Way, way up north on the northwest side of that little peninsula that juts in to Lake Superior there are a few small bays. One of them is Siskiwit Bay and feeding that bay is a river of the same name. Just a few minutes outside of Cornucopia, you'll find Siskiwit Falls. A series of small drops along this part of the river make this a great area to hike, but an even better place to get in the water and let it do all the work.
When a waterfall is classified as a slide falls, you know you're being invited in to test them out. Slide falls are so named because rather than the massive waterfall you may be imagining, the river is thin as it slips over sections of rock.
The shallow river and smooth rock underneath make for a perfect place to test out the natural waterslide - though you have to be careful!
There are more intense and rocky parts of the river, so make sure you scout it out. Lucky for you, the river is pretty accessible - you're never really more than a quarter mile from the road.
The land on either side of the river is privately owned, so stick to the path, but wander up and down river and take in all the beauty this little area has to offer.

Located at on State Highway 13 just outside of Cornucopia.
