Wonderland Is A Floating Waterpark In West Virginia That’s Fun For The Whole Family
ACE Adventure Resort in West Virginia offers a variety of activities including a unique 5-acre inflatable water park called Wonderland Water Park.
Did you have to cancel any summer vacation plans this summer? If you did (and even if you didn't), this might be the perfect summer to consider embarking on a fun local adventure. There are so many amazing yet close-to-home vacation options right here in West Virginia, one of which is ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill.
ACE Adventure Resort is a 1,500-acre vacation resort adjacent to the New River Gorge. At ACE, you can white-water raft, kayak, hike, explore a high ropes and zip-line course, and relax in various comfortable overnight lodgings. And on top of all that, there's a 5-acre playground for kids.
But not just any old run-of-the-mill playground...
THIS one is a 5-acre inflatable playground in the middle of a lake!
It's called Wonderland Water Park, and it's a blast...for kids and adults!
Take the lake zip-line, for example, or the BLOB launcher, or the 200-foot twin waterslides. And that's only a smidgen of what Wonderland has to offer!
And for those who aren't up for quite that much excitement, there's a comfortable lake-side patio area with shaded tables, a small beach, and all the wood-fire-grilled pizza you can eat.
There are a couple things to note if you head to Wonderland this summer, the most important being that you need to purchase your waterpark passes online BEFORE you visit. This allows the resort to cap the number of visitors at the waterpark and maintain plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the playground safely.
Also, the staff will be conducting mandatory temperature checks at the waterpark entrance, and in order to enter the waterpark, your temperature must be below 100.4.
Full-day passes to Wonderland Waterpark range from $15-$30. Half-day passes are $10-$20. Season passes are $99. Children 5 and under are always free.
Patio passes are also available for anyone who doesn't plan to be in the water. They are $8 for half-day and $12 for full-day.
